Sweating is our body's natural way to cool down. During summer our bodies tend to perspire more in order to beat the heat. In this scenario, cotton is a fabric that comes to our rescue. Reasons why you should wear cotton in summer

  1. Cotton allows better air circulation, which helps in absorbing and removing body moisture caused by sweat. It therefore minimizes fungal breeding by
  2. keeping your body dry and cool.
  3. Cotton is light in weight and in colour unless it is dyed. Being light-coloured will help the light to pass through instead of being absorbed and hence we will not feel the heat as much. If you wear loose clothes instead of tight fitting clothes, there will be ample of space for the air to pass through.
  4. Cotton helps in bringing down the severity of any allergic reaction and is perfect for those who have sensitive skin. Synthetic fabrics on the other hand cause rashes, skin allergies and body odour as they tend to trap moisture.
  5. So when summer approaches again, make sure you bring out all your cotton clothes, preferably light coloured ones, your sunglasses, hat or a scarf and get ready to embrace the heat!
