Mr.Umesh Chandra Jain has been teaching Senior PGT at Simpkins School Agra since the last 17 years. He has taught M.Phil for 8 years and Msc. For 5 years at Agra University. He specializes in Bio-inorganic, Inorganic and Heterocyclic (Organic) chemistry. He has also been appointed as District Academic Coordinator by the Govt of India.

He has a keen interest in doing research work, making science projects, science working models and chemistry quizzes. He has also been appreciated by the former president Dr.APJ Kalam for outstanding project work. He has also been appreciated by Charles Stuart University, Australia for conducting chemistry quizzes.

He has chosen the teaching profession as he considers it a noble profession that is respected. He also believes that a teacher always remains young because he keeps on learning and becomes more valuable. He likes to create a positive classroom culture and methodical teaching.

He uses low cost 3D models, special activities, charts and power point presentations to teach chemistry in an innovative manner. For e.g. while teaching atoms, atomic radius, atomic size etc he uses bangles.

He also organizes seminars for school children on 'Importance of Chemistry in daily life' and is in the process of creating an chemistry activity kit for 6 to 10 class students to help them find chemistry more interesting and easily understandable.
